Mineral exploration investor materials

Last updated: November 2026

Mineral exploration investor materials are the presentations, news releases, maps and technical reports a company publishes so investors can judge a project.

Lannister Mining publishes an investor presentation, property maps and drill and trench highlights for its Basin Gulch gold and silver project in Montana. This page explains what each type of material tells you, how to read grade and interval figures, and which questions to take to investor relations.

Question

What should mineral exploration investor materials include?

Good mineral exploration investor materials should show where the project is, how much land is held, what work has been done, what it found, who is doing the work and what comes next. They should also say clearly which results are historical and whether a mineral resource has been estimated under a recognised standard such as NI 43-101 in Canada or S-K 1300 in the US.

For Basin Gulch, Lannister Mining materials report more than 320 historical drill holes, a 1,107-hectare land package of 11 patented and 53 unpatented claims, and plans for a future Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate. Start with the June 2026 USA presentation and our downloads library.

Investor presentation

An investor presentation is a slide deck summarising a project and company. The Lannister Mining investor presentation is the main summary document for Basin Gulch, with the June 2026 USA edition the newest listed. Treat any deck as a starting point: it summarises, and the detailed support sits in news releases and technical reports. Check the date on the cover and the risk and forward-looking statements near the end.

Drill and trench results

Drill results report the grade of a sampled interval and its length, for example 1.8 g/t Au over 162 meters from surface at Basin Gulch. Trench results report surface sampling, such as 4 g/t Au and 23 g/t Ag over 146 meters. Both are evidence of mineralization. Neither is a resource until a qualified person estimates one using drilling density, continuity and a reporting standard.

Definition

Technical report

A technical report is a formal document written or supervised by a qualified person under a disclosure standard. In Canada that is NI 43-101; in the US it is S-K 1300. Lannister Mining says there is a clear premium in the market for compliant gold and silver ounces in the USA. A resource estimate for Basin Gulch has not yet been published on the pages we reviewed.

Maps and sections

Maps show where holes and trenches were placed relative to targets and claim boundaries. Lannister Mining publishes a Montana location map, a property image and two property maps. Use them to see whether high grade results cluster or spread, and how much ground remains untested. The company states that two-thirds of the Basin Gulch Property is still unexplored.

Calculator

How do you compare two gold drill intercepts?

Multiply grade by length to get gram-metres. A long interval at lower grade can hold as much metal per meter of hole as a short high grade one. Try the Basin Gulch historical highlights below or enter your own figures.

Or try a Basin Gulch historical highlight:

Enter a grade and a length above to see the result.

Assumptions: gram-metres equal grade in grams per tonne multiplied by drilled interval length in meters. Drilled length may differ from true width. One meter equals 3.28084 feet. Commas and spaces in numbers are accepted.

Procedure

Reviewing mineral exploration investor materials in five steps

  1. Confirm the date and edition

Use the newest deck. For Lannister Mining that is the June 2026 USA edition.

  2. Find the project stage

Is there a resource, a study or only historical work? Basin Gulch is pre-resource with 320+ historical holes.

  3. Read results as grade times width

Use gram-metres and note whether intervals start from surface, which matters for near-surface oxide targets.

  4. Check land and access

Basin Gulch covers 1,107 hectares with year-round road access from Philipsburg, MT.

  5. Ask investor relations

Take open questions on technical reports, financing and timing to the company directly.

FAQ

Common investor questions

What is in a mineral exploration investor presentation?

A mineral exploration investor presentation usually covers the project location, land package, geology, drill and sampling highlights, team, capital structure, planned work and risk statements. Treat it as a summary. Technical claims should be checked against news releases and any technical report the company files.

More in the FAQ

What does g/t Au mean in drill results?

g/t Au means grams of gold per tonne of rock. A result such as 1.8 g/t Au over 162 meters means the sampled interval averaged 1.8 grams of gold per tonne across 162 meters of core or cuttings. Interval length is drilled length, which may differ from true width.

More in the FAQ

What is a gram-metre in gold exploration?

A gram-metre is grade multiplied by interval length, for example 1.8 g/t over 162 meters equals 291.6 gram-metres. It helps compare a long lower grade interval with a short high grade one. Our calculator on the investor materials page works this out for any intercept.

More in the FAQ

What are historical drill results worth to investors?

Historical drill results show where mineralization was found and can guide new drilling, but they are not a mineral resource on their own. They typically need confirmation drilling and verification by a qualified person. Lannister Mining plans to use its 320 plus historical holes with new work in a future resource estimate.

What is the difference between NI 43-101 and S-K 1300?

NI 43-101 is the Canadian standard for public disclosure of mineral projects, and S-K 1300 is the US SEC rule for mining property disclosure. Both require qualified persons and set rules for reporting resources and reserves. Lannister Mining says there is a clear market premium for ounces compliant with both.

More in the FAQ

Does Lannister Mining have an NI 43-101 technical report?

Lannister Mining has not published a mineral resource estimate on the pages we reviewed. The company states that historical drilling and new work programs will be used in a future Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate. Ask investor relations for the current status of any technical report.
